Welcome to Canyon Crest Ravens Baseball
As the new head coach at Canyon Crest Academy, I’m excited to introduce my vision for our baseball program—one that challenges our student-athletes to excel both on the field and in the classroom. This program will be built upon the pillars of commitment, discipline, teamwork, and hard work, but most importantly, we will take pride in every single thing we do.
I firmly believe in Joe Maddon’s mantra: “Get comfortable being uncomfortable.” True growth happens when we step beyond what’s familiar. In those moments of discomfort—whether it’s enduring a tough practice, pushing through a difficult class project, or facing adversity in a game—we find the opportunity to learn, adapt, and become better. Abraham Maslow said it best: “In any given moment we have two options: to step forward into growth or to step back into safety.” At CCA, we will always choose to move forward.
This program is about more than winning games; it’s about preparing our young men for the challenges that lie ahead. By fostering resilience, integrity, and genuine pride in our work, we will shape leaders who carry these lessons well beyond the baseball diamond. Together, we’ll establish a culture where every player feels supported, motivated, and empowered to step forward into their best selves—because when we take pride in all that we do and we are unafraid of discomfort, we’re already on the path to success.

Coach Notes 2020...
"I want to thank everyone for their support of the baseball program this year and especially during this time. I personally cannot wait to get back out on the field as soon as we can and am sure many share that same feeling. To our 5 seniors, Matty Bernstein, Cole Colleran, Ryan Fuchs, Eric Lu, and Eli Rejto, I wish we could have ended your Raven's career much differently. You have each been tremendous assets to our program and want to make sure that you know, like the game of baseball, you will fight through this adversity and make the most of the challenges that will face you in the future."
